Carpet & Stair Runner Samples

Samples - As part of Stonegate Carpets sales policy, we have to insist that customers obtain a sample of your preferred carpets prior to placing any order to ensure that you are satisfied with the colour, design, texture, pile and height.  Whilst we make every effort to ensure all images on our website are as realistic and accurate as possible, due to the differentiation in monitor types/settings and software used this may cause the product colours to appear slightly different in person.

You can order up to 4 Stair Runner or Swatch Samples. 

Swatch Samples will be requested and sent out free of charge directly from the manufacturer (Brintons/Ulster/Penthouse/Cormar).  Stair Runner samples are free, but we have a small charge per sample to cover postage costs which are sent out from Stonegate Carpets normally within 4 days of order.

Swatch colour samples ordered from our Carpet Showroom, will be ordered and sent directly from the manufacturer (Brintons, Ulster, Penthouse).

Stair Runner Samples (have a small postage cost) 

Samples ordered from our Stair Carpets Runners section have a small postage cost per sample. 

Some of our Bespoke Stair Runners are made using two or even three different colours of carpets.  If you order samples that are made from more than two colours, we will send one fully made up sample and swatch samples of your remaining colour choices. 

For example, if you were to order two samples, Brintons Coffee/Ebony/Barley and Smoke/Ebony/Pewter we will send the first sample fully made up and the Smoke, Ebony & Pewter as small swatch samples (as you can see here in our photo).

You can easily order carpet samples via our website by following the steps below.

  • When you find a carpet you like, select the ORDER FREE SAMPLE button to add the sample to your shopping cart.
  • A summary of your shopping cart contents will appear and you can choose to finish the order by selecting the CHECKOUT button, or you can browse further and add up to 3 more samples to your order in the same way.

It would be helpful if you could tell us if you are ordering carpet samples for a staircase by adding a comment to the text field on the SHOPPING CART screen. Please include a brief description of the design of your staircase (straight stairs, stairs with winders etc) and include any landings you may have. Please enter any information that may help us to better understand your requirements.

We endeavour to try to ship them as soon as possible after ordering but sometimes these may be delayed due to the volume of samples ordered.
