I wanted to let you know how happy we are with our wonderful new carpets and the outstanding service we have received from you. I can safely say at this time that this is the first testimonial I have ever written, so no doubt it will ramble a bit!
I came across Stonegate in a random web search for runners, and having seen the photos on your website thought I would send a contact enquiry and see what happened.
I had a very fast response from Shelley, who seemed really happy to discuss ideas for a bespoke runner for the stairs in our house, and carpets for the first floor rooms.
Based on the basic colour idea we had she put together some wonderful samples of runners which she posted to us, and put up with my “20 questions” and design changes on an almost daily basis! With her dedicated input we came up with a design we loved. It was only then that I realised that you are in Leeds and we are in London – I thought that would be it! Naturally I was delighted to find out that you work in London all the time and so the order was placed and a fitting date booked. Comprehensive guidelines were sent to me for templating the winders so that the runner could be accurately made by you – and when fitting day came I’m glad I got them correct!
Speaking of fitting, Kevin and his son came all the way down from Leeds to South West London on a Saturday afternoon to carry out the installation. How professional they were, and what an unexpected pleasure to have polite, courteous, helpful and tidy workers. That in itself is a rarity these days. And what a beautiful job, and what beautiful carpet. If that sounds a bit over the top then please bear in mind that we have been refurbishing the house over the last 8 years and these are the first carpets installed in that time. We wanted to get it right, and it was worth waiting for!
I must say that the whole process from start to finish has been a pleasure – and in particular I cannot thank Shelley enough for the patience, guidance and perseverance she has given throughout all the stages of the work.
In these days of “stack it high, sell it cheap” suppliers (and the anticipated shoddy service that goes with it) it is a delight to deal with a company that believes in the tradition of customer service. Shelley has certainly flown that flag for you.
